A San Francisco sunrise

From my upstairs window...the still-sleeping San Francisco, minutes before the bright golden sun's blinding light broke out from below the horizon, swiftly lifted up behind Fox Plaza, and threw radiant daylight into the world of the songbirds first chorus, and the nearly-empty 22 Fillmore bus, clicking on the overhead wires through the intersection a half block away.

“It’s a town that is forever grabbing you by the throat and saying, ‘Look around, see what’s going on, feel it, experience it.
You don’t have to enjoy it. Just don’t turn your back on it, OK?’”  Herb Caen
