Random shots on Monday

If you’re going to San Francisco,
Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.
If you’re goin’ to San Francisco,
You’re gonna meet some gentle people there.

For those who come to San Francisco,
Summertime will be a love-in there.
In the streets of San Francisco,
Gentle people with flowers in their hair.

All across the nation,
Such a strong vibration: People in motion.
There’s a whole generation,
With a new explanation, People in motion, People in motion.

If you come to San Francisco,
Summertime will be a love-in there.

SAN FRANCISCO by John Phillips 1967

ONE DAY if I do go to heaven, I’m going to do what every San Franciscan does who goes to heaven, I’ll look around and say, “it ain’t bad, but it ain’t San Francisco.” Herb Caen

A number of recipients on my mailing list have asked about the unusual vessel that I photographed and included with a batch of images that was sent out on Monday.
This privately owned yacht made local headlines last week when it passed under the Golden Gate Bridge and anchored over in Sausalito.
This Mega Yacht called the "A" is owned by Russian billionaire Andrey Melnichenko. It costs $300 million, is 394 feet long, and boasts 23,000 square feet of living space.
