RON HENGGELER |
Early Saturday morning, Gerald and Patrick from the Netherlands, began the work of finishing the sail spars on the 1905 Murphy Windmill in Golden Gate Park.
Shortly after noon, they finished applying the wood lattice to the main beams. Patrick is now returning to the Netherlands to be with his wife and 8 week old son Jacob.
Gerald stays on for a couple more weeks to complete his part in the historic restoration of the windmill. These are a few of the photos from Saturday.
I’ll soon be adding many new images into my photo gallery of the Murphy Windmill Restoration Project.
(All the new photos as I continue to add them into my web site, will appear on the last pages in the Murphy Windmill Restoration section.)
