October skies, the Giants fever, Happy Halloween

In 2010, the San Francisco Giants baseball team won the World Series. With tonight’s game in Detroit, we may win that title again.
Just as in 2010, many of San Francisco’s iconic buildings are flood-fit orange these nights in support of the city’s team.
Here are some of my photos of these buildings from the present and the past.

October in San Francisco is one of our best months of the year for spectacular displays of color at sunrise and sunset.
I have been recording these fleeting celestial events for many years. Here is a small collection of October’s heavenly skies, seeming in the spirit of the Giants fever.

Thrown into this mix, my hairless cat, San Francisco.
