The Blood Moon, a new mural, and late September's neon sky

Last Sunday September 27th, Dave and I drove up to Twin Peaks in San Francisco to witness the total lunar eclipse, or Blood Moon. So did about a thousand other people. What should have been a three minute drive from Clayton and 17th up to the summit, ended up being a 15 minute bumper to bumper crawl that we couldn't get out of. Coming down from Twin Peaks an hour later, after the red eclipsed moon had finally come up, was a 40 minute long traffic Congo line ordeal that hardly moved most of the time. On Monday the next day, we drove to Aquatic Park to walk on the pier and watch the sun go down. On the way there, I stopped and photographed a new mural on the backside of the Mitchell Brothers O'Farrell Theatre at Polk and Olive Streets. Here are some of my photos from those two days.
