At the big moment of the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Huntington Park; Bruce, Chief-engineer of the Huntington Hotel, hiding in the park’s gardeners shed, secretly throws the main power switch, thereby lighting all the trees in Huntington Park on top of Nob Hill. To the hundreds of people gathered outside in the cold for the ceremony in the park, it’s magic. . all the thousands of colored lights going on at once.
