This is a photo of Lucius Beebe napping in the afternoon sunlight.
Lucius is a Sphinx, and he's around 15 years old. Having lost all of his
canines over the past few years, Lucius now wears a perpetual crooked smile
in his grand old age. Having these front teeth missing, his tongue sticks
out when he's sleeping, and if I playfully tease him by pinching and
scratching the skin on his back a little too hard, he'll gum my finger as
though he's biting me. (Of course we both know we're just kidding one
another). In the cold winter season he grows a peach fuzz coat behind the
ears and on his hind quarters. Lucius is pure absolute joy with two eyes and
a beating heart.
