It's all about the qualities of light

The image titled aRainyDay.jpg was taken yesterday morning, Saturday January 3rd.
The next 3 images were taken an hour ago at sunset. All the photos were shot from my round room window.

Claude and Monique Frank, (who I met two years ago while they were vacationing in San Francisco), live in Lyon France. They are on my mailing list and occasionally reply to my photos with photos of their region that they think I will find interesting. They sent me the two PowerPoint presentations that I’ve included with this mailing. They also sent a short while back this web site illustrating the Festival of Light in Lyon that takes place around December 8th each year.

On November 24th 2008, I was invited to have a showing of my photos at the Nob Hill Association’s 80th Annual Meeting. The meeting was held at the Stanford Court Hotel in San Francisco. The framed photographs of Nob Hill that I displayed to the members of the Nob Hill Association that day are now posted on my web site. The photos were originally taken in color with my Canon EOS-1Ds, but I worked on and printed them in black and white in Adobe Photoshop CS4.
