I recently had the pleasure of visiting my friend LadyBee at her home on Potrero Hill in San Francisco. Bee is a fascinating and creative woman who has traveled the world. In her 20's, she joined the Peace Corp. and spent some of the best time of her life, living and working in Africa and Jamaica. She and I are kindred spirits in that we are both collectors and archivists. Bee's home is like a museum of beautiful oddities. She passionately collects outsider art, objects from her travels, and prison art. LadyBee is the Archivist and Art Collection Curator of the Burning Man Project. |
