From 1976 to 1984, I worked as a waiter in the Franciscan Restaurant on Pier 43 1/2 at Fisherman's Wharf. I always had my little Olympus camera with me. On my mid-day breaks between split-shifts, if I wasn't reading a book . . . I was walking along the wharf, writing in my journal, watching street performers, smelling the fresh-cooked dungeness crabs, and taking photos. Here are a few of the photos for this time period that I've recently begun curating. The photos are from the mid '70s to the mid '80s. |

These photos were taken with the Olympus XA. My little work-horse camera at the time. |
