On Saturday, June 10th, the close friends of Mérí Jaye got together for lunch at the St. Francis Yacht Club to reminisce and celebrate the life of our dear Mérí Jaye. Early in the morning, I was one of seven people who went out on John and Nancy Callahan's sail boat past the Golden Gate Bridge to Diablo Point. Diablo Point overlooks a sheltered cove, between Kirby Cove and Point Bonita in the Marin Headlands. It was in the calm waters of this cove, with seal lions hauled out on the rocky shore, that a poem was read, song was sung, and flower pedals were sprinkled, as we spread Mérí Jaye's ashes into the ocean waters. Here are some of my photos from the day of rememberance. |
