2010 San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade

On the way to Lincoln Park and the Legion of Honor to watch the sunset, we stopped up on Nob Hill to visit my friend Merle Greene Robertson. Merle is 96 years old and one of the world’s leading authorities on Mayan art and culture. She had been telling me she had a gift for me so I went over to pick it up. The gift is a small figure of a man with a cat. She wanted me to have it because she knows I like cats. I emailed her later and wrote to her:

Merle,
Thank you for the beautiful little statue. It's simply wonderful and I love it. Receiving it from you was like a perfect bright red cherry atop a delicious ice cream (Gay Pride) Sunday.
Love and hugs,
Ron
